There’s a light that shines in the darkness.
So If you didn’t know, I was in poland on a missions trip for the last week and it has totally changed my life. Now I am starting to see what this phrase means. Talking to random people on the street with the main purpose of telling people about christ is so invigorating and freeing. It truly feels like I was doing what I was designed to do. Every person I spoke to had a different reaction. Some claimed they didn’t know english (Being polish and all) some reluctantly stopped to chat, others were so open and were so happy to find out about the love that God has for them! In every instance it was as if the words coming out my mouth were going out into the darkness of the world and the darkness in their lives and dispelling it, replacing it with Gods love and acceptance. Manny people gave their lives to christ on the spot, others were just intrigued and came to the events we ran in the evening and in each one of those events people gave their lives to Jesus and the people who didn’t were clearly challenged by the message. These events and conversations are beams of light from a candle drawing people in, and its up to the person listening to decide if they want to light their candle. While we are on this earth we need to give more time to shine our light, and not just through our actions, but be bold with our words and make it clear to people that Jesus is changing our lives, so that they have no doubt that it is him working through us. There is a light that shines in the darkness, and that is Jesus. But it is also us, god has chosen us to be the catalyst for his light on the earth, so we have a big responsibility to shine brightly as often as possible.
